Clean beauty, like sustainability, can be vague and mean something different from one person to the next. At Roes, clean beauty is defined by our choice in omitting certain ingredients that have been proven to have negative side effects from skin irritation to hormone disruption and even been linked to being carcinogenic (cancer-causing), (EWG REPORT). Not only do we avoid ingredients that are harmful to you, we consider the environmental impact by not using ingredients that would be toxic pollutants, tested on animals or have any animal/human derivatives in them.

In this pursuit, we vow to be fully transparent in our ingredient list and what ingredients we chose to include or omit. With each product, we promise to learn and grow with the relevant studies available in the cosmetic industry and keep choosing the best ingredients for you and our products.

Below you can find a breakdown of our ingredient list and the purpose of each ingredient as well as the full list of ingredients we’d never use!
